Forest Ridge Library News

It has been a great school year in the Forest Ridge library!!  Students have checked out many books.  They have had opportunities to choose from fiction and non-fiction books, magazines or kits with cds or tapes, as well as making sure they bring home at least one "just right reader" for our 2nd-5th graders each week.  We are very fortunate to have over 10,000 books for our students to choose from each week during library time.

However, our school year is coming to a close and we are asking for all library books that have been checked out to students and parents to be returned by Friday, May 30th.  We will then begin inventory to close out our school year in the Forest Ridge Library.

We are having an ice cream party and an extra recess for the first class to return all books and have all fines paid beginning May 27th!!  Please help your student make sure that both of these are taken care of next week.

We also would like to let you know about the Salem Public Library Summer Reading Program. Their program begins June 10th.  You may sign up on-line at www.salemlibrary.org or in person at the Youth Services Desk.  Information: 503-588-6088
Have a great summer and remember to READ, READ, READ!!!
